With two specialist, fully equipped 280 bhp 2 wheel drive Rolling Roads, Aldon can cater for the tuning and setting up of most competition cars and fast road 'hot hatches', inc. Japanese imports and classic cars, whether they are running on standard injection/ carburettors, performance carburettors or aftermarket fully programmable fuel injection systems. One of the rolling road bays is dedicated to competition and fast road cars, while the other is used for fault diagnosis on standard road cars.

Aldon has over 30 years experience in the rejecting / recalibration of Weber , S.U., Dellorto and Holley carburettors and the modification and re-curving of Lucas and Bosch distributors causes no problem.

Over the last 10 years, with the introduction of aftermarket engine management and fuel injection systems, Aldon has expanded its specialist skills to cope with the increasing demand for this type of engine re-mapping and is now known to be one of the countries foremost specialists in supply, fitment and calibration of Alpha and other makes of engine management fuelling and ignition systems. Hundreds of conversions have been completed, ranging from single cylinder static engines to V12 race engines.

Re-mapping of 'Fast Road' cars is also available. Similar to re-chipping, the unichip system can re-map your cars ECU and can be mapped to suit any modifications that have been fitted. Fitting of the unichip alone (without having any other modifications) can increase most cars performance by 10% in both 'BHP' and torque. The unichip is used as the basis for our 'X-Rated' Power Packs.

Fitting and setting up of all performance products inc. turbo dump valves, power boost valves and modified camshafts can all be carried out in our workshops.

A Westfield on the 'Rolling Road'


With fully fitted workshop Aldon are an authorised fitment centre for all of the major performance exhausts, air filters, suspension, brake discs/ pads and camshaft suppliers.

Full and interim services can be carried out on all cars including Japanese imports. Fault diagnosis of modern fuel injected cars can be very time consuming if the correct analysis equipment is not used. That is why Aldon have invested some of the most advanced diagnostic equipment on the market. Many of the smaller local garages and manufactures main dealers bring their problem cars into the workshops.


The equipment used includes the 'ECU' xpert and an 'ASNU' injector cleaning and reconditioning machine. The ECU xpert will find/ confirm that there is a fault on a particular cars electronic control unit while the 'ASNU' machine spray tests, cleans and reconditions, if necessary, the cars injectors while off the car.

An in house machine shop can cater for more extensive work on the head or full engine, while modification and re-curving of Lucas and Bosch distributors can also be carried out by experienced engineers.

 

Aldon has been building championship winning engines throughout its 30 years of business. They are specialists in Ford X/Flow, Ford OHC, Ford CVH, Ford Zetec, N/A Cosworth, Ford RS2000 16v, Rover 'A', 'B' and 'K'series and Vauxhall 2.0ltr 16v engines. Engines can be supplied with either standard fuel injection or carburettors, performance 'DCOE' carburettors, Alpha ignition or full Alpha engine management.

Aldon's customers compete in a range of motorsport disciplines, including rally, race, sprint and hill climb championships.

One of Aldon's claims to fame is that they supplied Eddie Jordan (Jordan Formula One team owner) with his Formula Ford engines during the late 1970's and early 1980's.

The Heenan/Froude dyno test cell is used for testing and development, power checking and the engine management re-mapping of customers engines up to 1000bhp. Data acquisition facilities are also available.

Aldon's machine shop specialises in porting and polishing of heads, refacing heads/ blocks, lead free conversions, inserting, piston pocketing, lightening, balancing and boring.
